FLAC Player App Reviews

Sound quality is great, but often when I add songs via iTunes the program will crash. I need to uninstall / reinstall and import the songs again. Very frustrating. Is there a fix to this?

Its a great app for playing 24bit songs on the iPhone/iPad but its lacking or i shall say limited to only FLAC files. Please update to support more file formats like ALAC and AIFF in 24bit. Then i would recommend to others.

The recent update seems to have killed the bugs...except for one. Every time I listen to an album, the last track repeats, and there appears to be no way to make the app stop this odd behavior. I hope the next update addresses this issue.

I bought this app to play my new Led Zeppelin reissued flac files that came out this week. This app is useless. After importing the files, each song starts playing for a split second and then just quits. Support stinks as well. If you pay $10 for an app, you would think that you would get decent support. But after 48 hours...nothing. And from doing a little research online about it, other have had this problem.

This app crashes constantly. No support. No updates. It plays Flac files on between crashes. End of review.

This has a few bugs, but really is the best flac player available. Highly recommend Please note however that play stops after the song thats playing when phone goes to the lock screen since updating to iOS8.

Cannot launch after the latest update.

TERRIBLE TERRIBLE TERRIBLE!!! I wasted $10 on one of the most horrific FLAC players for the new iPhone 6. NOT user friendly. VERY limited with its features. The biggest mistake i made was purchasing this app. This app is misleading. Stay Away!!! No Joke. I’ll stick with CAPRICCIO... a MUCH better FLAC player at the fraction of the cost! Shame on you Dan Leehr L.L.C.!!!

It works for a few days & then locks up. The only way around this seems to be to delete and reinstall - then reload all of the FLAC files. Not Good!

After spending an hour trying t get the app to connect to my Mac via SSH, I transferred files via iTunes. The files transferred without issue but FLAC Player would not play them. When FREE apps will play my files but a $9.99 app wont, something is amiss.

Crashes and functions are rudimental. A waste of my 10 bucks. I hope it could be refunded

I have been using the latest version, as of Jan. 2015, on my iPhone 6 and it has worked well for me. The sound quality is noticeably better than on the other flac player apps Ive tried and the gapless playback is essential. A second long pause between tracks on a Pink Floyd album is unacceptable. I havent figured out album art or the wireless transfer of music files to my phone so that is why only 4 stars.

Dont play when Im starting from headphones. Fix it if you can.

It’s an ok app. for getting your FLAC files on the iPhone, but the frequent crashing, really is a annoying! And sometimes the files don’t load! You should check out “Golden Eats” instead!

This app used to work well before iOS 8 came out. Since then, it has done nothing but hang up every time I try to play a song.

It does lock up & needs to be deleted, installed again etc. ANNOYING being this is my third review about it. Until Dan can fix this bug which has been around for a year I wouldnt buy it until then. Dan I have told you about this before & until this version nothing has been fixed.

Almost a year with no updates. What a shame.

On a whim I deleted the app and reinstalled it, now it works again. Or course, all my music is gone... Old Review - crashes as soon as I open it and is useless. Original Review - Low power use, sounds great, and doesnt crash randomly. Using it right now as I type this, actually :)

After using this app for two weeks I have no complaints. It has been performing perfectly!
