Pros and cons of FLAC Player app for iPhone and iPad

FLAC Player app good for

ive been using this application since the beginning, used to be buggy but this version works with 40GB+ flac files and not a single bug :) i tried almost all apps capable of playing flac files on the app store, this one is the best, worth the price
Really nice job guys but i have a request. Can you please add the possibility to make playlists inside the App like in the iPod? the App will than be perfect.
As I prefer FLAC over Apple Loosless for several reasons I´ve been searching for a proper FLAC Player for my IPhone quite for some time. This one works like a charm even with OS 7.1 on my phone, I can highly recommend it to everyone who is serious about using flac on his IPhone. It plays every kind of flac files I´ve got in outstanding quality. It even handles my high res 192KHz 24Bit files easliy. When playing back 192KHz 24Bit files directly on my IPhone the output seems to be downsampled to 48KH (I can´t say if to 16Bit or 24 Bit depth), I guess due the limitations of the internal soundcard of the IPhone (still sounds much better to my ears than the standard resoultion version of the same recording). When I attach my Apogee Duet 2 for Iphone / Ipad at home I can even enjoy the flac files in high resolution without the need of a separate player which is great. If you need a soultion for your flac files on your IPhone this is the way to go, I love it, its worth the money if you ask me. *****
slick ui design, great wireless file exchange without using a browser, booming sound. Thanks for the frequent updates!
...i want to go to the next song it sometimes crashes pls fix
yes the apps work, play .flac audio files without any problems. Would have been nice if it could also play mp3 so it could be used as main music player.

Some bad moments

This App is supported very poorly. Since I purchased it a year ago, it worked just three weeks. I am tired of waiting on support, will try to get a reimbursement by Apple!
Ive tried to transfer multiple files over via iTunes and every time I try and launch the application, it crashes. (Yes, theyre FLAC files). Im not sure if this has been updated to work with iOS5 or not but theres a lot of issues that need to be resolved before I would suggest this to anyone.
This is a decent but imperfect app. I cant believe its so hard to play my music the way I want to on my iPod. Ive bought Golden Ear (which has its share of other problems, see my review there) and this and neither is optimal. This is a decent FLAC Player, and does what it says, but who wouldve thought it would -ONLY- play flac files? You know youd just assume it could at least handle MP3 as well. This is incredibly lazy on the developers part. I really cant stress how enough how lazy that is, yes I want to play my Flacs which is what most of my collection is but Im bound to have some extra MP3s as well, not being able to handle MP3s is ridiculously lazy twofold: 1. the basic ipod system software can play it 2. it is the most common damn format (if not the greatest) for music right now, period, by a long shot I have most of my music at home stored on my computer as flac files, with the rest as MP3s until I get around to replacing them (which wont be possible for all). I bought this app to -avoid- having to waste my time converting all my music before I load up my iPod playlist each day, unfortunately, FLAC Player doesnt help me here, its just flipped the problem from needing to go Flac --> Mp3 to Mp3 --> Flac. Another relatively annoying issue, as far as I can tell, and Im 90% certain, there is no simple "add all songs in the FLAC Player folder to playlist" option which is a major pain. I try to load up a new playlist on my iPod to bring it into the warehouse at work to play everday, so I wipe all the songs in the folder of FLAC Player, throw the new collection of songs onto it, and Id like to just click "play all" or "add all to playlist" and go, quick, simple, efficient. Unfortunately yet another developer (Apple, Golden Ear, FLAC Player now) just cant manage to competently make a basic featured useful music player which manages to make my music listening experience on the iPod still a rather annoying experience. Guess Ill have to check out even more damn FLAC Players now like AcePlayer, OPlayer, etc. and waste even more of my money hoping that someone on the app store can competently make a music player for this highly capable hardware device hampered by wretched software. Id change my review score to a 5 out of 5 and sing this apps praises if both of the above stunningly absent features are added in an update.
Needs an update, it crashes with iPhone 4 on ios7, plus theres some bugs, like if you choose a song on shuffle mode it doesnt set it to be the first on the playlist (1 of ...)
I have wasted my money in many apps, which can play lossless files, including this one and after proper evaluation I can confidently say that every audiophile should have ONKYO HF Player with HD Player Pack in their iOS devices. Don’t buy FLAC Player and save your $11.99. FLAC Player has an awful sound quality, interface and UI; EQ is non-intuitive. Onkyo HF Player enables 192 kHz/24-bit FLAC, WAV, and DSD decoding to bring better-than-CD sound to your portable setup. Other features include a 48 kHz upsampling function (up to 192 kHz with the HF Player Pack) and crossfading capability. DON’T waste your money on this overly priced JUNK app...
Garbage. Does not fix bugs. Works at first after install then stops working all together even after rebooting and hard rebooting. Must delete the app then reinstall and re-upload all music, then it will work for a day or two before repeating the problem. Not worth paying for. Big hassle and developer will not fix bugs. Ill update my review if the app progresses.
